How I Work

Therapy that helps you move forward, not just look back

At some point, life starts asking different questions. What used to work, how you cope, connect, or keep it all together, no longer fits. You may notice yourself feeling restless, disconnected, or unsure of who you are now.

Maybe you are in the middle of a major life shift and trying to find your footing. Maybe you are tired of doing everything for everyone and wondering how to live differently. Or maybe you keep finding yourself in unfulfilling or challenging relationships.

Therapy with me is a space to pause, listen inward, and understand what is driving these patterns. We stay focused on the present, noticing how you think, react, and relate, and practicing new ways of living that feel aligned with who you are becoming.

A partnership built on honesty and momentum

Our work is collaborative and active. You will talk, I will listen closely, and together we will make sense of what is happening beneath the surface. I will share what I notice and help you connect patterns that are ready to shift.

Sometimes we will laugh. Sometimes I will challenge you. Always, you will know why we are focusing on what we are focusing on.

Good therapy should help you understand yourself and give you the tools to live differently, not years from now but soon.

The framework I use

My work blends Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) with feminist, relational, and trauma-informed perspectives. In practical terms, that means we focus on three things:

  1. Awareness – noticing the habits and beliefs that keep you stuck.

  2. Choice – learning how to respond to stress and emotion without losing yourself.

  3. Action – practicing new behaviors that align with what matters most to you.

In a nutshell, these skills change how you relate to your inner world in a way that opens up your life. That shift is what we call psychological flexibility. And it’s where things really start to change. Read on to learn more…

What this type of therapy can do

You’ll become more resilient

Not because life gets easier, but because you’re no longer as easily thrown off by it. Stress, self-doubt, and hard emotions don’t derail you in the same way. You can feel them without shutting down or spiraling, and you can keep moving forward anyway.

You’ll have more agency

Instead of reacting on autopilot or feeling stuck in patterns you can’t seem to break, you start making choices that actually reflect who you are and what matters to you. You trust yourself more. You feel more grounded and in charge of your own life.

And maybe most importantly…

You will feel more alive

When you’re not spending so much energy avoiding discomfort or overthinking every move, there’s more space for connection, creativity, joy, and meaning. You’re able to show up more fully in your relationships, your work, and your day-to-day life.

If you are ready to work through what has been weighing you down in a direct and supportive way, I would love to help you begin.
